The Magenta team, part of Google Brain, is a mixture of creatives and computer scientists researching the intersection of music, art, and Deep Learning. We had the opportunity to sit down and talk with them as part of our upcoming Program on Creative Applications of Deep Learning w/ TensorFlow.

Here’s a short clip from the course where Magenta team member Jesse Engel describes an instrument they built for Ableton Live using Neural Audio Synthesis, or NSynth for short:

We also had the opportunity to share some of what we cover in the course on the Magenta blog, and show how you can synthesize your own sounds with NSynth. Be sure to follow their blog for more posts on music, art, and Deep Learning or check out their GitHub or Google Group for more information.
